Located in the Japanese Alps, White Mountain Shrine is a Shinto temple dedicated to Ryujin, the dragon god of the sea and mountains. The shrine is situated at the foot of Mount Koma, which is said to be the dwelling place of the kami. Cultural notes
Ryujin is often associated with fertility and prosperity. The shrine hosts an annual festival in June to celebrate the arrival of summer, featuring traditional dances and offerings to the kami.
