Located in the heart of Kyoto, Eight Saints Shrine (Hachi-Ban-jin-ya) is a revered Shinto shrine dedicated to the worship of Oinari Okami, the patron kami of rice and industry. The shrine's name reflects its connection to the eight legendary saints who protected Japan from invaders during the Battle of Dan-no-Ura in 1185.
