Visitor tip

Cultural notes

This shrine is located at the foot of Mount Godai, which was said to be the dwelling place of Okami-sama. According to legend, the kami appeared to a local farmer who had been searching for his lost ox, and offered him a promise that he would always find his way home.

The shrine was built in 1628 during the Edo period.
