Aomori

Located in the heart of Aomori City, Dewa Sanzan's Izumo Taisha is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the sea god Susanoo and the storm god Amaterasu. It was originally built as a temple, then converted into a Shinto shrine after being destroyed by fire.
