Aomori

Eight-Horned Shrine, dedicated to the Shinto god Susanoo-no-Mikoto, is a historic Shinto shrine located in Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture. Its name 'Hachi no Tanba' translates to Eight Horns, which refers to the shape of its eight gates. The shrine's architecture reflects the Heian period style with a simple yet elegant design. Susanoo-no-Mikoto is often associated with storms and weather conditions. The shrine has been rebuilt several times due to natural disasters.
