Located in the Saga Prefecture, the Mount Kinoshita Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the deity of the same name, who is believed to be the god of medicine and good health. The shrine is situated near the coast of the Sea of Japan and is renowned for its beautiful gardens and traditional architecture. Built during the Heian period (794-1185 CE), the shrine has undergone several renovations over the centuries, with the current structure dating back to the Edo period (1603-1867 CE). The shrine's kami, Kinoshita Okami, is revered by locals for his power to heal and protect against illness. Visitors can explore the shrine's main hall, which features a beautifully crafted wooden beam from the 17th century, as well as stroll through the surrounding gardens, which are said to be blessed with healing properties.

Historical note
The shrine was rebuilt in 1625 after being destroyed by fire during the Shimabara Rebellion.
