濱見神社 is also associated with the mythological figure of Tsukiyomi, god of the moon and the sea. Locals often come to the shrine to pray for good luck, prosperity, and safe passage during the voyage.
Historical note
Established in 1603 by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who enshrined his own ancestral spirits alongside those of his predecessors.
