長沢神社

Shimane

長沢神社 is a Shinto shrine located in Maita, Shimane Prefecture. The shrine is dedicated to the Shinto god of the sea and fishing, Osafune no Kami. According to local legend, the shrine was built on the site of an ancient temple that was destroyed by fire during a typhoon in 1328. The current main hall was rebuilt in 1873 during the Meiji period. Visitors can see traditional Japanese architecture and enjoy scenic views of the surrounding coastline.
