Visitor tip

For a unique souvenir, try purchasing a 'Umi no Ma Rice Ball' at the shrine's shop, which features rice balls wrapped in daidarichi seaweed and symbolize good luck and longevity.

Cultural notes

The shrine is famous for its beautiful cherry blossom viewing during spring, as well as its autumn leaves. In October, the shrine hosts a 'Tako Festival' to celebrate the local octopus catch, where visitors can try steamed octopus dishes and purchase unique souvenirs.
