Godai Shrine, located in the city of Toyama, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the deity Ōinari Okami, known as Inari in English. The shrine is situated at the base of Mount Godai, a scenic spot offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and the Sea of Japan. According to local legend, the shrine was founded by a Buddhist priest who discovered the site where Ōinari Okami was said to reside. Historical note
The shrine was rebuilt in 1869 after being destroyed during the Boshin War.
