西叶神社

located in the town of Katsuura, chiba prefecture, this shrine is dedicated to the kami of the region's rice fields and agriculture. it is a small, rustic shrine with a distinctive tatami-mat entrance hall. visitors can see ancient tree roots sticking out from under the foundation stones, said to be evidence of the shrine's age.
