Visitor tip

To gain favor from the shrine's benevolent kami, visit during the Inari Okappi festival (late October), and make a donation to the red string fund to tie your own red thread around the shrine's pillars.

Cultural notes

This shrine is famous for its elaborate vermilion torii gate and numerous vermilion lanterns. According to local legend, a red thread tied by devotees brings good fortune and strengthens family bonds.
