The Horiya Hatsuharu Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to Hatsuharu, the younger brother of the famous samurai Miyamoto Musashi. Visitor tip

Cultural notes
Hatsuharu is said to have been prayed for by Miyamoto Musashi before his duel with Sasaki Kojirō. The shrine also holds an annual festival in honor of Hatsuharu, featuring traditional performances and offerings to the deity.
