Cultural notes
Ō-no-matsuyuki Tamayama, the deity enshrined at Henazaki Shrine, is one of the seven sea deities (Kami) associated with good fortune and prosperity. The shrine also hosts an annual Izumo Matsuri festival in August, which honors the sea god and features vibrant parades, traditional dances, and local delicacies.
