吉備津神社

Shimane

吉備津神社 is a Shinto shrine located in the city of Matsue, Shimane Prefecture. The shrine is dedicated to the goddess Otsukimi, also known as Ōtsutsuki-no-kami. According to local legend, the goddess appeared to a local resident and granted them prosperity and good fortune. Visitors can admire traditional architecture and beautiful gardens while exploring the shrine grounds.

The shrine was rebuilt in 1869 after it was destroyed during the Boshin War, a civil war that took place from 1868 to 1869.
