Komae Inari Shrine, located in the city of Sakurako in Chiba Prefecture, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the god Inari Okami. The shrine's history dates back to 1684 when it was established by the Tokugawa shogunate as part of its efforts to promote Buddhism and suppress Shintoism. Despite this, the shrine has managed to maintain its traditional Shinto practices and remains an important cultural and historical landmark in Japan.

Visitor tip
