Tottori

Located in the scenic town of Kotohira, Tottori Prefecture, the Saikodo Shrine is a Shinto temple dedicated to the deity Ryujin, also known as God of the Sea and Water. This shrine is famous for its impressive torii gate, which is said to be able to wash away sins. Visitors can enjoy beautiful views of Kotohira Bay while strolling through the shrine's peaceful grounds.

Visitor tip

Ryujin is also associated with good fortune and prosperity in fishing communities. The shrine's torii gate is said to be able to purify one's sins and bring good luck.
