Located in the heart of Akita, Godai Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the kami, Yamatano Orochi no Kami and others. The shrine's architecture reflects traditional Japanese design, with a rectangular main hall surrounded by gardens and a large torii gate. The shrine's history dates back to the 12th century, during the Kamakura period.
