Located in the city of Nagahama, Maeda no Okunoichi Shrine in Shiga Prefecture is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the goddess of mercy, Otohime, as well as other deities such as Yamatsumi and Take-no-kami. The shrine is situated on a hill overlooking the Bay of Osaka, offering stunning views of the surrounding area. Maeda no Okunoichi Shrine has a rich history dating back to the 17th century, with many architectural elements from the Edo period still intact.
