Cultural notes

Wind View Grand Shrine is closely tied to the mythology of the wind god, Fujin, who is believed to reside here. During the annual Matsue Cherry Blossom Festival in March-April, the shrine's grounds are adorned with beautiful cherry blossom trees, adding a touch of elegance to this already serene environment.

The site was originally constructed in 1621 during the Edo period.
