Located in the town of Ōdate, Akita Prefecture, Hachiman-jinja Shrine is dedicated to the Shinto god of war and wisdom, Hachiman Okami. The shrine's current structure dates back to the 18th century, with earlier temples believed to have been built on the site during the Edo period. The shrine is particularly famous for its stunning autumn foliage.

The shrine was rebuilt in 1717 after a fire destroyed the previous structures.
