玉造天満宮

Tottori

Located in the city of Wakkanai, Hokkaido's northernmost tip,玉造天満宮 is dedicated to the Shinto deity Benzaiten. Founded in the Edo period (1868), the shrine is built in the traditional Japanese architectural style and features a large torii gate. The shrine grounds include a beautiful garden with a natural hot spring, which is believed to have healing properties.
