Located in the Japanese Alps, Tenpaku Hachiman Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the god of war, Hachiman, located at the foot of Mount Chisenumajiro. The shrine was built during the Edo period (1603-1867) and features a unique architectural style known as 'sōgen-zukuri', characterized by a wooden torii gate and a curved roof. Visitors can experience traditional Shinto rituals and ceremonies, including the annual Hachiman Matsuri festival in May.
