Located in the heart of Odawara, Kanagawa Prefecture, but often mistakenly attributed to Shizuoka, is the famous Izu Katsuura Hie Shrine's neighboring deities are enshrined here at 平井神社 (Plainside Shrine). This shrine is dedicated to the primary deity Inari Okami, patron of rice and industry. It is one of the shrines in Japan that can be visited during Cherry Blossom season.

Plainside Shrine is a popular Shinto shrine that offers stunning views of Tokyo Bay. The main hall is adorned with vermilion lanterns and features a beautiful garden. Inari Okami is often depicted as a fox, reflecting the traditional Shinto association between this deity and the quick-witted animal.
Historical note
This shrine was originally located in Izu Katsuura but was rebuilt in Kanagawa Prefecture due to the tsunami in 2011.
