Shinshu Sanzan's northernmost shrine, Heitakatsu Shrine in Sapporo City is dedicated to Heitakatsuhiko, a kami revered by the Ainu people as well as the Japanese Shinto faith. Established in 1869, this temple honors the god of winter and cold. The shrine is located near the Susukino district and offers scenic views of Mt. Yotei.
