Located in the town of Yubari, Tochigi Prefecture, Star Shrine (Hoshimiyajisha) is a small Shinto shrine dedicated to the worship of Hachiman Okami, the kami of war and patron deity of the Imperial family. The shrine's architecture reflects the traditional Heian period style, with a main hall and several smaller shrines. While the shrine's history is not well-documented, it is believed to have been founded during the Heian period (794-1185 CE).

Cultural notes
Hachiman Okami is said to have visited the area in search of water and medicine for his illness. In gratitude, the locals enshrined him as their patron deity. As such, Hachiman Shrine often celebrates the Star Festival (Tanabata) in mid-August.
