Located in the southern part of Osaka, below畑海神社 is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the god of the sea, Okuninushi. The shrine is known for its scenic location at the mouth of the Higashi-yata River and its beautiful garden. Cultural notes
Okuninushi is also revered as the patron deity of plum blossoms. The shrine holds an annual plum blossom festival in February and March, featuring beautiful cherry blossom viewing areas and traditional dances.
