Visitor tip
To avoid long lines, visit Kanda Myojin during the shoulder season (April-May or September-October) when the cherry blossoms are in bloom.
Cultural notes
Kanda Myojin is famous for its traditional Japanese architecture and beautiful gardens. It is also closely tied to Japanese mythology as the shrine is said to be the place where Susanoo and Amaterasu, the two main deities of Shintoism, appeared to each other after their battle.
