Located in the city of Echizen, Fukui Prefecture, Tatsunoki Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the deity Katsuragi Ō no Okami, a powerful kami associated with fertility and prosperity. The shrine is renowned for its impressive Benkei Gate, which was originally built as a gate at the famous Hieizan temple but was relocated here in the 17th century.

Visitor tip
