Resha-ji Shrine, located in the scenic coastal town of Kuroda on the Sea of Japan coast in Niigata Prefecture, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the sun goddess Amaterasu and her son Susanoo. The shrine's architecture reflects its historical significance as a place of worship for local fishermen and traders. Dating back to the Edo period (1603-1868), the shrine's main hall features a traditional Japanese gable roof, while the outer shrine buildings are adorned with striking vermilion hues.
