Visitor tip

Cultural notes
As a major pilgrimage site for samurai warriors, Omiya Hachiman Shrine is also associated with the legend of the 47 Ronin, who avenged their lord's unjust death at this very shrine. Additionally, the shrine's torii gate features a unique curved shape, reflecting its history as an important stopping point along the Edo period's Nakasendō trade route.
