Located in the city of Aomori, Hokkaido's northernmost prefecture, Kita-Morisaki Taisha (also known as Kami-Imasato) is an ancient Shinto shrine dedicated to Morisaki-kami, a local forest spirit believed to protect hunters and travelers. The shrine is famous for its unique torii gate made of cypress wood, which spans over 40 meters in length, making it one of the longest torii gates in Japan.
