佐軍神社 is a Shinto shrine located in the town of Shirakawa, Nagano Prefecture. The shrine is dedicated to Saitō no Okuninobu, a samurai leader who fought against the Tokugawa shogunate during the Boshin War. According to legend, Okuninobu was aided by the gods and defeated his enemies in battle. Today, visitors can still see the remains of the war that led to the shrine's establishment, as well as the beautiful traditional architecture of the shrine itself.
