Eight-Horned Shrine, dedicated to the Shinto god Susanoo no Okami, is located in Saga Prefecture, Japan. The shrine is famous for its unique architecture and historical significance as one of the oldest shrines in Japan. The shrine's Eight-Buddha Hall, also known as Hachiman-gū, houses a large bronze statue of Hachiman Ōkami, the Shinto god of war, patron deity of samurai and protector of the land.

Cultural notes
The shrine is closely associated with the mythology of Susanoo no Okami, who is said to have destroyed his sister's fiancé and was subsequently banished from heaven. The shrine is also famous for its Hachiman Matsuri festival, held annually on May 29th, which commemorates the god's role as protector of the land.
