Indo Shrine is a Shinto shrine located on the shores of Lake Biwa, in Shiga Prefecture, Japan. As one of Japan's oldest and most famous shrines, it has been an important center of worship for the rice-goddess Inari Okami since its founding in 747 CE. The shrine complex includes numerous buildings, gardens, and a large pond. Visitors can walk through the beautifully landscaped grounds, pray at the main torii gate, and browse the many shops selling traditional goods.
