Ise Grand Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Sayama, Saitama Prefecture. It is one of the most important and influential shrines in Japan, known as a 'dai-gōji' (great deity shrine). The shrine is famous for its well-preserved Heian-era buildings, including the main hall (honden) and the outer shrine halls (haiden). Ise Shrine is dedicated to the sun goddess Amaterasu Ōmikami, who is considered the most important deity in the Shinto pantheon.
