Rocky Valley Shrine, located in the scenic valley of the Agi River in Akita Prefecture, is dedicated to the Shinto kami of agriculture and fertility. The shrine's architecture reflects its rural setting with traditional thatched roof buildings and a natural stone foundation. The shrine complex also features several smaller shrines honoring other deities such as the forest spirit Kamui and the god of the mountain Takamagahara.

The Rocky Valley Shrine is closely associated with the local legend of the samurai who was granted immortality after praying at this very site. During the autumn season, visitors can participate in the Otsukimai festival, where they offer small wooden tablets inscribed with their wishes to the kami.
歴史
Established in 1591, the shrine was rebuilt after being destroyed during the Genpei War.
