Located in the heart of Akita, Kinryu-no-Okami Jinja is a historic Shinto shrine dedicated to Kinryu-no-Okami, the Dragon God of Water and Agriculture. This shrine dates back to the Heian period (794-1185 CE) and is known for its beautiful architecture and scenic surroundings. The shrine complex features a five-story pagoda, wooden torii gate, and a tranquil pond with a waterfall.

歴史

Kinryu-no-Okami Jinja was rebuilt in the Kamakura period (1185-1333 CE) after being destroyed by fire during the Genpei War.
