Yakushi Jinja is a Shinto shrine located in the city of Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, dedicated to the god of healing and medicine, Yakushinyo. The shrine's architecture reflects the traditional Japanese style, with a wooden torii gate and a rectangular prayer hall. According to legend, the shrine was built in 747 CE during the Nara period by Prince Nagaya, who discovered the deity while on a pilgrimage.

Visitor tip
