Cultural notes
Susanoo Shrine is closely associated with the myth of Otohime, the Sea Goddess, and her relationship with her brother Susanoo. The shrine also hosts various festivals throughout the year, including the May Day festival 'May 5th (Matsuri no Hi)' to celebrate Susanoo's birthday.
