The shrine's main deity, Sanai Kami, is also revered as a powerful protector of the sea and mountains. During the annual Matsue Spring Festival, visitors can enjoy traditional dances, food stalls, and live music performances.
Historical note
Founded in 1568 by Matsue Domain Lord Mōri Yoshihisa during the Sengoku period, the shrine was later rebuilt after an earthquake in 1930.
