Visitor tip

Cultural notes
Fudoin is notable for its association with the legend of the 'Great Wave', a powerful tsunami said to have devastated the coast. Local folklore attributes the protection of this site to Fudo Myo-o, who calmed the waters and saved the village from destruction.
