Tsukasa Hachiman Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in the heart of Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture. Dedicated to the storm god Tsukasa, it is known for its beautiful architecture and historic significance. The shrine's primary enshrined deity, Tsukasa Hachiman, is believed to have been instrumental in the defeat of the great storm of 1278, which threatened the city of Sendai.

Cultural notes
In addition to Tsukasa Hachiman, the shrine also enshrines other regional kami such as Omiya-tsumi and Aomori-Okami. The shrine is famous for its traditional 'tachiyakusha' system, where devotees are required to stay at the shrine overnight before performing rituals.
