Aomori

Located in the heart of Aomori, 弁天堂 Shrine honors the god Ebisu, a kami often depicted as a fisherman and patron of prosperity, good fortune, and wealth. As one of the oldest Shinto shrines in Aomori Prefecture, 弁天堂 has played an important role in the community for centuries.

Founded during the Nara period (710-794 CE), Abrindate Shrine was originally dedicated to the god of fertility and agriculture.
