Aomori

Located in Aomori Prefecture, the remains of the Eight-Horned Shrine (Hachimantai Hachiman-gu) are a historic site dedicated to Hachiman, the Shinto god of war and patron deity of samurai. The shrine was built during the Heian period to commemorate the founder's victory in the Genpei War. Although the original structure has been destroyed over time, visitors can still explore the surrounding area and experience the local culture.
