Aomori

Located in the city of Hirosaki, Aomori Prefecture, the Houtou Shrine is dedicated to the Shinto kami Tamayama no Mikoto and Tsukiyomi Okami. The shrine's architecture reflects its founding during the Kamakura period (12th century) and features a unique thatched roof, typical of northern Japanese shrines.
