大岩山金毘羅宮, located in the mountains of Toyama Prefecture, is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the storm god Susanoo and the god of thunder Raijin. The shrine's name, which translates to 'Great Rock Mountain Gold Bull', reflects its location atop a rocky outcropping. According to local legend, the shrine was established by Susanoo himself to reward the mountain's inhabitants for their kindness.
