Cultural notes
This shrine is known for its unique torii gate design, featuring a distinctive curved shape, which is reminiscent of the traditional Ise-style architecture. The shrine also hosts various festivals and events throughout the year, including the Spring Festival (Hanami) and the Summer Festival (Natsu Matsuri), both of which honor the deities of Ise.
Historical note
The shrine was rebuilt in its current form after a fire damaged the original structure during the late Edo period.
