Located in the coastal town of Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, Eight Kings Shrine is dedicated to Kofuku no Okami, a deity believed to protect fishermen and sailors. The shrine's architecture reflects its role as a portside temple, with a unique torii gate and a large stone lantern. Founded during the Nara period (710-794 CE), Eight Kings Shrine has maintained its significance as a major Shinto pilgrimage site.
