弘前市福村 熊野宮神社

Located in the heart of Hiryu-cho, a small neighborhood in Hirakata Ward, Kushimoto Shrine is an ancient Shinto shrine dedicated to the storm god Susanoo-no-Mikoto and the sea goddess Kasuga-no-Kami. This shrine complex features a unique combination of old and new structures, with its original gate and torii still intact while newer buildings have been added for modern worship and ceremonies.

Visitor tip

Cultural notes
